Charles Marino, a former Department of Homeland Security adviser and founder and CEO of Sentinel Security Solutions, said Title 42 has been used more than 2.4 million times; however, it was not used consistently.

“What Republicans fear here is that with Title 42 gone, it would be the ultimate polling factor for the United States, and there would be no more programs or law enforcement. which can really double the number of daily immigration. violations we have on the southwestern border,” Marino explained.

Meanwhile, Mayorkas said the border is secure and getting more and more secure. The Department of Homeland Security retaliated, saying, “Congressmen can do better than point fingers at someone else; they should come to the table and work on solutions for our broken system and outdated laws, which have not been reviewed for over 40 years.
