Actor Vikram Gokhale Hospitalised In Pune, Condition Critical


Actor Vikram Gokhale hospitalized in Pune in critical condition

The actor remains in critical condition.

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale has been admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune for health complications. The TV and theater actor is currently undergoing treatment, PTI reported.

Doctors declined to release any further information, however, and said Gokhale’s family would provide an update on his condition.

The actor remains in critical condition. According to a report by Marathi news outlet Navshakti, the veteran actor was taken to hospital a few days ago and his condition has stabilized after treatment. The report further claims that over the past two days, his condition has started to deteriorate again and he is now in critical condition.

There are no details about his illness and no statement has been released by the family or the hospital so far.

The actor made his film industry debut at the age of 26 in 1971 with Amitabh Bachchan-star Parwana. Mr. Gokhale has acted in several Marathi and Bollywood films including the 1990 film Amitabh Bachchan starring “Agneepath” and the 1999 film “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” starring Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

In 2010, he won the National Award for Best Actor in 2010 for his performance in the Marathi film Anumati. He also made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Aaghaat.

He was last seen in Abhimanyu Dassani and Shilpa Shetty-star Nikamma, which hit theaters in June this year.
