Three teenagers who allegedly pointed a gun at people in their homes in western Sydney will face trial after leading police on a massive chase through the streets in a stolen car.
Police will allege four people broke into a house in Montefiore Ave, West Hoxton and stole an Audi Q7 around 3am on November 23.
The group then parked the stolen Audi on Brooklime St, Denham Court at around 4.40am and approached a nearby house waking the occupants.
The four people were reportedly armed with a machete, a knife and a gun.
Police allege the gun was pointed at one of the occupants of the house through a window before the group fled in the stolen Audi.
Shortly after, the group reportedly approached another house in Wollahan Ave, Denham Court while armed before driving off in the same stolen car.
At around 5am, a 22-year-old woman was backing her VW Golf into the driveway of a house on Macksville St, Hoxton Park, when two men – one allegedly armed with a gun and the other a knife – threatened her.
The woman got out of her car and the men left in the Golf followed by the rest of the group in the stolen Audi.
The woman was not injured.
Officers patrolling Hoxton Park spotted the Audi driving down Hoxton Park Road just after 8am and began pursuing the stolen car after it failed to stop.
Police also allege that during the chase the Audi reversed into the front of a fully marked police vehicle at the intersection of North Liverpool Rd and Meadows Rd, Heckenberg causing minor injury to a sergeant.
The Audi then drove east along North Liverpool Rd, where the pursuit was halted for safety reasons.
Police later found the car abandoned at the intersection of Sims Place and Bowtell Ave, St Johns Park.
PolAir and the canine unit were called in to help search for the group.
The search led to the arrest of three teenagers – aged 17, 14 and 13 – in Chisholm Park.
The three teenagers are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Police are still looking for the other alleged perpetrators and the stolen Golf.
Anyone with information – or available dashcam/mobile phone footage – about the incident should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
