Eagle Rock Best Coast Double IPL
WHERE IS HE FROM ?
This is the fourth release in a delicious collaboration between Eagle Bay Brewing Co and Rocky Ridge Brewing Co.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL?
For years, WA’s beautiful southwest has earned an international reputation for the incredible wines it has to offer.
But it’s high time we recognized one of the region’s fastest growing (and arguably most delicious) exports: tinnies.
The craft beer scene has exploded in recent years – and no beer epitomizes this boom better than the latest joint venture between Eagle Bay Brewing Co and Rocky Ridge Brewing Co.
The Eagle Rock Best Coast Double IPL is an almost perfect ode to all that is right about the Southwest craft beer scene.
Shedding a rich golden hue with a very light haze, this tinnie comes with notes of melon, passion fruit and nectarines on the nose.
The palate reveals hop bitterness and complexity up front with Mosaic Incognito, Citra Spectrum and a new experimental variety called Peacharine producing a rich flavor base.
This bitterness is complemented by incredible sweet stone fruit flavors and just enough citrus to balance it all out.
SHOULD I SHARE IT?
This is a tinnie that has layers of complexity, but be warned — at 8.4% ABV, it packs a massive punch that can overwhelm you if you’re not careful.
And of course, it’s best enjoyed with friends around WA’s beautiful southwest.
WHAT ARE THE DAMAGES?
It fetches $28.99 for a four-pack, which is pretty good value considering how good it tastes.
